Busy Bee Preschool is BUSY!

The time sure flies when you are having fun!!! It's hard to believe we have been having school for a couple of months already! We have gone on neighborhood walks to dig potatoes, to check out the public library, and to collect fall items. We have had guests come into our class such as a beekeeper, a nurse (who brought glo-germs!) and a dental assistant. Busy Bee Preschool is not a place where we can get bored!!!

We have two fundraisers happening in the next while: One is with Discovery Toys to help the preschool get some new FREE toys, the other is at the Carseland Christmas Market on December 6 & 7th.

We are offering parents, grandparents, friends and family the opportunity to order Christmas gifts through Discovery Toys. Each gift that is purchased through our site earns Busy Bee Preschool credit in which to get some FREE toys. Simply look at the website www.discoverytoys.com/makesmiles. If you see something you would like to order, simply order it on line. When you are checking out, just click on the bar that says that you were invited to a party and want to look for the host. Type "Busy Bee Preschool" in the spot for the first name, and "fun-raiser" in the spot for the last name. Click SEARCH and the name will come up. The other fundraiser we are doing is to run the concession at the Carseland Christmas Market on December 6 (4-8 pm) & 7 (10am - 5 pm)  at the Carseland Hall.  Come out and have supper, breakfast, or lunch or snacks and support the preschool and get some Christmas shopping done at the same time! Discovery Toys will have a table as well so you can see some of the products and play with them!!

Busy Bee Preschool is a great place for your child to make new friends, learn some new skills and have fun in a safe environment. There are still a few openings available.

Can You Believe It?

Busy Bee Preschool has finished its first week of classes!!! The classes have been fun and the students are really enjoying themselves.  Running in the gym seems to be a favorite activity. When the students say "I'm tired" at the end of the class - that is a compliment! The parents should appreciate that too!

After months and months of planning and jumping through hoops, we are fully operational and are government certified. Subsidy is available for parents to apply for through the Alberta Government website.

Registrations will be accepted until all the classes are full. Classes run Tuesday and Thursdays - morning or afternoon. At the amazing rate of only $80 per month, you can't go wrong by choosing to send your child to Busy Bee Preschool!

Hello World!

The Carseland Busy Bee Preschool Association is a new association being developed to give Carseland parents a local and financially feasible option for preschool that will help prepare their children for the school environment. Activities will focus on promoting social skills and introduce basic academics to help prepare them for kindergarten and help foster a smooth transition into the school system.

Currently our closest option for preschool is Strathmore. Due to location and cost some children are not getting the opportunity to attend preschool in Strathmore. A survey done by ECMap Coalition (Early Childhood Mapping project) show that in our area, 33% of kindergarten aged children experience difficulty or great difficulty in communication skills and general knowledge.

To ensure all local children have an opportunity to attend, we’re offering the service at a low monthly rate of $80.
